Blocking a WEBSITE on your PC without using any software for windows OS

For those who wants to Block any websites from their computer without using any software, this is for you guys.

STEP 1.

Go to Drive C:>>Windows>>System32>>Drivers>>etc.

right click the hosts file then open with notepad.

STEP 2.

at the bottom of the text file.. add this line..
FORMAT:
127.0.0.1 (SPACE) www.yourwebsite.com
EXAMPLE:
127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com

NOTE:

You can add multiple site by adding one per line
EXAMPLE:
127.0.0.1 www.yourwebsite.com
127.0.0.1 www.onotherwebsite.com

STEP 3.
Save the hosts file. or simply press "ctrl" + "s" in your keyboard.

NOTE:if you encounter an error saving the "Hosts" file..

Download takeownership and install it.
Download Link: Take Ownership
To install the takeownership, just unzip it then double click it.

Then Navigate again to:
Drive C:>>Windows>>System32>>Drivers>>etc.
Then right click the "Hosts" file and click "Take Ownership".
